If you’re installing epoxy, polyaspartic, or other floor coatings in a garage, the Garage Door Jack creates a controlled ¼‑inch gap that keeps the door seal off your fresh coating while allowing consistent airflow during cure. This helps prevent sticking, imprinting, and torn seals at the threshold, while reducing dust and moisture around the door for a cleaner, smoother finish. It also eliminates makeshift shims and repeated door adjustments, so you can set it once, finish the job, and avoid costly return trips

For most standard 8–10 ft single garage doors, 4–6 clips (one bag) are typically recommended to support the seal and maintain a consistent airflow gap. For wider 16–18 ft double garage doors, 8–12 clips (two bags) are recommended, especially on heavier doors or thicker seals, to provide added stability and uniform lift across the entire opening. If you’re working on oversized or custom doors, add clips as needed anywhere the seal tends to sag so the gap stays even during cure.

Yes. The Garage Door Protector is designed to work with epoxy, polyaspartic, and other common garage floor coating systems. It lifts the door seal off the floor regardless of which chemistry you’re using, helping prevent the seal from sticking to—or damaging—fresh coatings at the threshold while they cure.

The Garage Door Protector is designed to keep the weather seal lifted off fresh coatings and create a controlled barrier at the opening, so if a customer cracks the door open too soon, there’s a much lower chance of the seal sticking to or tearing the coating at the threshold. It can significantly help prevent damage to both the garage door seal and the floor in that high‑risk area, but you should still follow the coating manufacturer’s cure‑time guidelines and clearly instruct customers not to use or cycle the door until the floor has reached the recommended cure.

Yes, wholesale and distributor pricing is available for qualified companies and contractors who regularly install epoxy or other floor coatings.
